This week on the blog, we’re spotlighting Moglie Films — a luxury wedding videography company based out of Minneapolis. The mastermind behind every beautiful film is Morgan, who came to me with a dream: to build a brand that feels as timeless as her work. She wanted dark, moody colors with a touch of whimsy, all while keeping that cinematic, luxury feel front and center.

And honestly? I was so excited to get started. If there’s one thing I love more than a well-built brand, it’s a well-built brand with a moody, whimsical edge. After our discovery call and a mood board that had me genuinely inspired, we dove into the design process. A few weeks later, I had landed on three concepts I couldn’t wait to show her.

With each concept I tried to lean into one aspect that she wanted more than others. The first one I leaned more into the whimsical aspect that she was looking for, the second concept was more of a cinematic feel, and the third was a little mixture of cinematic and editorial.I bet you can guess which one she chose. 😉

When it came to choosing her color palette, Morgan had one request. She wanted to incorporate some type of dark green, so I went on a mission. I went scrolling through pinterest looking for images that screamed whimsy and moody that also had touches of green in them that I could pull from. These are some of the inspo images I used.

Taking these images I threw them into my color palette creator provided by The Color Palette Studio. (Snag 10% off through my affiliate link here. I may earn a small commission, at no cost to you!) and let the gadget due the magic. The cool thing about this gadget is that it automatically creates color contrast combinations for you and give you a contrast score for each one so you can see how well your color palette plays together before getting too deep into designing. Seriously one of my favorite purchases of 2026. ANYWAYS. I threw in these images to the generator and decided on the color palette below.

Once everything once approved – from color palette, to fonts, to the logo. It was time to dive into designing her website. Morgan really wanted to keep the theme of moody and whimsical throughout her whole website but also wanted there to be a lot of movement throughout, so that it keeps the user engaged with her content. Let me tell you… I had so much fun building her website. I learned so many new tricks and design elements and it’s honestly some of my best work. I won’t spoilt it for you, mostly because its more fun to go experience it yourself. Go ahead… take a gander: Mogue FIlms

Overall, I had so much fun designing Mogue films from the ground up. Morgan was such a pleasure to design for and fully trusted me and my process. If you’re ever in need of a wedding videographer, she does AMAZING work and is so kind and thoughtful. If I were to get married again, I would absolutely hire her. So you should too!

If you are looking to give your brand a little makeover or need a new website, I would LOVE to chat with you about your career dreams and how I can make even just a little sliver of that come true.
